Our Story
Two Isabelas
AMAABJ is an association of Shipibo-Konibo women united by kinship, resilience, and mastery. Through Kené, we safeguard a living visual language and create a path of independence for our families.
Weaving the healing visions of the Amazon
AMAABJ is an association of Shipibo-Konibo women united by kinship, resilience, and mastery. Through Kené, we safeguard a living visual language and create a path of independence for our families.
Our art is memory, medicine, and a promise to those who come after us.
The association grew from a shared need: to protect ancestral knowledge while creating dignified, sustainable livelihoods for the women who carry it.
To preserve and share Shipibo-Konibo ancestral arts while strengthening the cultural and economic independence of our members.
A future where ancestral knowledge remains alive, respected, and capable of sustaining the community that protects it.
Our work follows the guidance of elders, plants, family, and the living geometry of Kené.
